Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the H47 Chinook Production Engineering team located in Ridley Park, PA.
The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the build team on the H47 program.
The Production Engineering team is shipside to the H47 production line supporting daily work instruction updates and improvements. This job position is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and hands-on environment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans
  • Provides technical support by researching issues related to design, manufacturing, regulations and process.
  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 1+ years' experience in an engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 2 or more years' of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams.
  • Aerospace experience, fabrications, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience.
  • Production engineering experience.
  • Relevant technological knowledge.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, work independently and in a team environment.

Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
