Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist (Experienced) to join the 787 Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT) in North Charleston, SC.
The ideal candidate will primarily have experience with 787 DELMIA and other 787 Processes and Tools. They will also have experience with end user support, issue resolutions and troubleshooting.
Our team is currently hiring for a Mid-Level (Level 3) Engineering Technical Specialist.
Position Responsibilities:
As an Engineering/Operations team member your statement of work will cover three basic areas:
- Process & Tools Support - Primarily DELMIA
- Productivity & Profitability
- User Validation & Test
Process & Tools Support:
- Provides Production and Engineering site support for Boeing South Carolina teammates across the 787 program and various aspects of the 737 program
- Acts as a principal DELMIA Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance with regards to the implementation, use, understanding, and troubleshooting of the tools used to Engineer 787 Dreamliners.
Productivity and Profitability business engagement activities:
- Understands, anticipates and responds to Airplane Program Business requirements for simplification, innovation and standardization to improve productivity & profitability
- Executes workshop improvement projects and implements improved processes to take cost and flow out of the design and build process
- Possesses the capability of working projects across sites and airplane programs
- Manages, participates, or offers expertise to engineering RCCA activities to eliminate systemic production and engineering issues
User Validation & Test:
- Participates in user validation and testing for new and existing processes and tools
- Monitors and oversees the collection, analysis and validation of engineering performance metrics, and coordination of organizational requirements to support business needs
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience working with DELMIA
- 3+ years of experience supporting Engineering teammates
- 3+ years of experience supporting end users in a customer service role
- 3+ years of experience with DELMIA, Velocity and other 787 production applications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary Pay Range:
Mid-Level (Level 3): $85,000 - $115,000
