Job Description
Boeing Poland Software Engineering develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high - to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of the urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.
As a Experienced AvionX Software Engineer, the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.
Position responsibilities:
  • Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems
  • Performing engineering activities including architecture, requirements, development, integration and testing
  • Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
  • Project estimation and planning
  • Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing
  • Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
  • Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • English proficiency

Preferred qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn and work with new technologies
  • Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
  • Proficiency in C++ and at least one other high-level modern programming language
  • Experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • Experience in virtualization techniques (VirtualBox, QEMU, Vagrant, etc.)
  • Experience in embedded programming (Yocto Project, VxWorks, Deos, FreeRTOS, etc.)
  • Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Collaborating in international and multi-national projects
