Description
Assist staff from Conner Prairie and Imagine Exhibitions to deinstall, pack, and ship the traveling exhibit Food: Science, Culture and Cuisine at Conner Prairie.
Deinstallation Period
Tuesday, September 8th through Sunday, September 13th, 2026
Contractor Responsibilities
- Work 10-hour days for up to six days straight including weekends (breaks will be provided)
- Follow instructions from exhibit production team
- Assist with loading and unloading semis using pallet jacks
- Transport crates and pallets using pallet jacks and dollies
- Disassemble and pack exhibit displays, AV equipment, and interactives
- Clean exhibit and workspaces and prepare gallery for next exhibit
Key Requirements
- Availability for the entire deinstallation period (9/8-9/13)
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to kneel, crouch, climb and work on a ladder
- Must pass background check
- Experience with using basic power tools is preferred but not required
- Experience in fabrication, stagecraft, event production, AV, carpentry, or a related field is preferred but not required
Compensation
Contractors will be paid $225 per 10-hour day, with up to 6 days of work. Number of days required will be determined during the deinstallation period. Pay will be one lump sum delivered via check after the deinstallation is complete.
