Executive Producer – Cornerstone
Overview
The Executive Producer at Cornerstone leads the creative vision, strategic planning, and execution of large-scale, high-impact live events from concept to completion. This senior role requires overseeing budgets, timelines, event specific teams in partnership with the Technical Director, client relationships, and on-site operations to ensure flawless, on-brand, and on-budget delivery across live, virtual, and hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned production leader with deep technical proficiency, exceptional creative instincts, and a proven ability to manage complex events under pressure. As a key client-facing role, the Executive Producer must bring professionalism, strategic thinking, and high-level service to every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Strategic Leadership
- Define event vision, themes, messaging, and creative direction, ensuring alignment with Cornerstone and client brand standards.
- Lead creative ideation sessions, pitch presentations, and concept development in partnership with Creative Director and creative team.
- Approve scripts, agendas, storyboards, run-of-show documents, and final creative deliverables.
- Drive storytelling and audience-engagement strategies for all event types.
Production Management
- Partner with the Technical Director on all technical elements: AV, lighting, sound, staging, scenic, video, broadcast, and show flow.
- Work with Technical Director to build and manage production schedules, timelines, and workback plans.
- Lead rehearsals, backstage operations, show calling, and live cue execution.
- Work with Technical Director to coordinate logistics across internal production teams, freelancers, and technical crews.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as primary client liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage expectations, lead creative reviews, and communicate project status effectively.
- Present concepts, run-throughs, budgets, and final deliverables with clarity and confidence.
- Build long-term client relationships rooted in trust, strategy, and successful execution.
Financial Control
- Work with quoting team to develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets from proposal to post-event wrap.
- Oversee cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Work with purchasing team and Technical Director to negotiate vendor contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Work with the project management team to ensure the flow of information across all departments are timely and within budget.
On-Site Execution
- Act as the senior authority during all live, virtual, and hybrid events.
- Work with the Technical Director to lead show operations, troubleshoot technical issues in real time, and ensure seamless execution.
- Work with the Technical Director to enforce safety protocols, compliance requirements, and risk management procedures.
Team Leadership
- Mentor junior producers, coordinators, and production assistants.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and ensure team clarity and cohesion.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creative excellence.

Essential Functions
Event Management
- Lead production for internal and external events such as global town halls, conferences, client meetings, and experiential activations.
- Work with Technical Director to manage event timelines, staffing, run-of-show planning, and post-event reporting.
Quality Control
- Ensure brand consistency and high production standards across all deliverables.
- Conduct pre-event checks and post-event evaluations.
- Implement continuous improvement practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, communications, creative, and leadership teams.
- Manage external vendors, talent, agencies, and production partners.
- Provide consistent communication and updates to all stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in event production, with 5+ years in a senior or executive producer role.
- Proven track record of managing high-profile, large-scale live events.
- Strong understanding of technical production and AV systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex budgets, tight deadlines, and large cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hybrid and virtual event platforms.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like XR, AR, and interactive experiences.
- Ability to creatively adapt concepts to meet budgetary constraints.
