Position Overview

Our client is seeking an Executive Director who will lead the organization and drive initiatives that directly impact the lives of seniors. This role requires a strategic visionary who can ensure operational excellence, build strong community relationships, and lead fundraising efforts. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement plans that advance the organization's mission while focusing on sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Operations (25%)

  • Lead the development and implementation of 1-3-5 year strategic plans with input from the Board.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all organizational policies.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and regular reporting to the Board.
  • Ensure accurate and secure documentation and records.

2. Program & Volunteer Management (35%)

  • Drive the recruitment and engagement of clients and volunteers, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services to seniors by effectively matching client needs with volunteer capabilities.
  • Support and mentor volunteers, addressing any challenges and fostering a positive working environment.

3. Fundraising & Development (30%)

  • Collaborate with the Board to set and achieve annual fundraising goals through individual donations, major gifts, and institutional funding.
  • Lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies to secure the organization’s financial future.
  • Cultivate relationships with donors and stakeholders to strengthen the fundraising base.

4. External Relations & Advocacy (10%)

  • Act as the face of the organization, representing it at community events, conferences, and in the media.
  • Enhance awareness of senior issues and advocate for change through strategic partnerships and public engagement.
  • Communicate the organization’s successes and impact through various channels, including an annual report and quarterly newsletters.

  • Passion for Seniors: A deep understanding of and commitment to addressing the needs and challenges of older adults.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, social services, or a related field preferred, with 3+ years of management experience in a similar setting.

Compensation
