BeOne continues to grow at a rapid pace with challenging and exciting opportunities for experienced professionals. When considering candidates, we look for scientific and business professionals who are highly motivated, collaborative, and most importantly, share our passionate interest in fighting cancer.

General Description:

The Executive Director, Scientific Partnership is a senior field-based leadership role within North America Medical Affairs (NAMA) at BeOne Medicines, reporting directly to the Vice President, North America Medical Affairs. This individual serves simultaneously as a player and a coach: personally managing a portfolio of priority US health systems and oncology networks while directly leading, developing, and coordinating the Scientific Partnership Medical Director (SPMD) team.

The Head SPMD is the primary architect of BeOne Medicines’ enterprise health system engagement strategy. This role ensures that the SPMD team operates as an integrated, high-performing unit that positions Medical Affairs as a strategic scientific partner to the most influential institutions in US oncology.

The role collaborates closely across a matrix of internal functions including: NAMA, R&D, Market Access, Clinical Operations, Field Medical Directors (FMDs), Regional Medical Science Liaisons (RMSLs), Home Office Medical (HOM), Global Medical Affairs (GMA), HEOR/RWE, and Franchise/Commercial Leadership.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the SPMD team, establishing clear performance expectations, individual development plans, and a culture of scientific excellence and cross-functional collaboration
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and strategic advisor for SPMD team members in managing complex health system relationships and enterprise-level challenges
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top scientific and medical talent; build team bench strength aligned with evolving NAMA priorities
  • Model best-in-class scientific partnership execution by personally maintaining a portfolio of priority national health systems and oncology networks
  • In partnership with the VP, NAMA and Franchise/Commercial Leadership, define and execute the SPMD team’s strategic vision for enterprise health system engagement across BeOne Medicines’ full oncology portfolio
  • Develop and maintain integrated account strategies for top-tier US health systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs), aligned with NAMA, R&D, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and Franchise/Commercial Leadership objectives
  • Champion a system-wide, portfolio-level engagement model that addresses holistic health system priorities rather than isolated, product-specific interactions
  • Serve as a senior scientific partner to C-suite and D-suite leaders at priority health systems, building durable institutional relationships that support innovation adoption and clinical development
  • Act as the senior medical interface between the SPMD team and key internal partners including FMDs, RMSLs, HOM, GMA, HEOR/RWE, R&D, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and Franchise/Commercial Leadership
  • Lead through influence to orchestrate coordinated, enterprise-level scientific engagement at priority accounts, ensuring consistency of scientific messaging across BeOne Medicines’ resources
  • Partner with Market Access and Franchise/Commercial Leadership to align medical and commercial account strategies, serving as the senior medical voice in priority account planning
  • Establish and institutionalize best practices and standards for scientific information exchange, account strategy development, and evidence ecosystem integration across HEOR/RWE, FMDs/RMSLs, and HOM within the SPMD team
  • Identify and champion innovative scientific engagement opportunities, including investigator-initiated research, clinical trial placement, and co-development of evidence generation programs with health system partners
  • Represent BeOne Medicines at key national oncology congresses, advisory boards, and stakeholder forums
  • Ensure all SPMD team activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable US regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor team performance against defined KPIs and develop action plans as needed
  • Manage team budget and resource allocation in alignment with NAMA priorities
