The Role

Go Maverick Group has a client located in Streetsboro, OH who is looking for an Executive Communications Program Manager to join their team immediately. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the center of how the company operates, communicates, and executes its most important priorities. The Executive Communications Program Manager serves as a trusted partner to the CEO, owning the processes and outputs that connect executive leadership to the board, the broader organization, and key strategic initiatives.

This is not a support role. The right person is a confident operator who brings both analytical rigor and strong written communication skills — someone equally comfortable building a board presentation and driving a cross-functional project to completion. The role requires discretion, executive presence, and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

What You'll Own:

Board & Executive Communications

  • Own end-to-end preparation of board materials, including structuring the narrative, coordinating inputs across functions, and ensuring materials are polished and delivered on time
  • Serve as the connective tissue between the CEO and board — tracking action items, managing follow-ups, and maintaining the cadence of board communications between meetings
  • Prepare executive briefings, investor updates, and other high-stakes external communications as needed

Town Halls & Internal Communications

  • Lead planning and execution of company-wide town halls, all-hands meetings, and leadership communications
  • Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop messaging that clearly connects organizational strategy to employee priorities
  • Build and maintain a communications calendar that keeps the organization informed and aligned through periods of change and growth

Strategic Project Management

  • Step in as the lead driver on cross-functional strategic initiatives that require dedicated bandwidth — from scoping to execution to close
  • Identify when projects are off-track and proactively surface issues, options, and recommendations to the CEO
  • Bring structure and accountability to initiatives that cut across functions without a natural single owner

Executive Rhythms & Operating Cadence

  • Own the design and execution of key leadership rhythms — staff meetings, offsites, quarterly planning — ensuring they are purposeful and well-run
  • Prepare the CEO for key meetings with pre-reads, talking points, and relevant context
  • Track strategic priorities and ensure appropriate follow-through across the leadership team

Requirements

What They're Looking For:

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or a similar role — with meaningful time spent inside an operating company
  • Demonstrated experience preparing board-level materials or supporting executive communications in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects without direct authority
  • Experience in a PE-backed, investor-facing, or similarly governance-intensive environment is a plus

Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional written communication — you can take complex, ambiguous information and turn it into a clear, compelling narrative
  • Strong project management instincts — you create structure in ambiguous situations and follow through without being chased
  • Executive presence and sound judgment — you know what to escalate, what to handle, and how to read a room
  • High integrity and discretion — you will be trusted with sensitive information and relationships
  • Bias toward action — you move things forward and don't wait for perfect information
  • Comfortable operating in a lean organization where ownership is broad and the work is varied

What Success Looks Like:

In the first 90 days, you have learned the business, built trust with the leadership team, and taken ownership of the next board cycle. By six months, the CEO is spending meaningfully less time on preparation and logistics, and the organization has a more consistent and credible communications cadence. By one year, you are seen as an indispensable partner to the CEO and a trusted resource across the senior leadership team.

Benefits

Why This Role

  • Direct access and visibility to the CEO and board — you will be in the room for consequential decisions
  • A lean organization where your impact is visible and your ownership is real
  • A platform to grow into broader operational or functional leadership over time
  • A role that combines intellectual challenge with tangible execution — no two weeks look the same

Our client emphasizes a positive, collaborative culture and offers a competitive salary, bonus, full benefits, PTO/paid holidays, 401k, discounts on products, and more. This is a hybrid position with the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays.
