Executive Assistant to the Co-founder

DoubleZero is looking for a highly talented Executive Assistant to join our team as we support the launch of the DoubleZero protocol. Please note that this role is limited to candidates in the New York City area.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

• Be the founder’s right hand. Act as a world-class executive assistant to DoubleZero’s co-founder, Austin Federa. Work closely with him to organize calendars (including personal matters), prioritize correspondence, and manage relationships with key external stakeholders. Doing so will require an ultra-high degree of trust.

• Know when to push. Ensure that our leadership is spending time on the most important things by pushing back on lower priorities. Develop a strong working knowledge of DoubleZero’s network and business to act as an informed operator in the organization.

• Fill gaps as they arise. Operate as a generalist and be the owner on key projects or initiatives - for instance, hiring a vital role, managing internal tools and processes, helping to set people-related policies and practices, etc.

• Be intellectually curious. In order to understand DoubleZero’s complex network, you need passion and intellectual drive. You’ll ask probing questions to learn about how DoubleZero helps the biggest problems facing blockchains and other distributed systems.

• Internal events. Assist with organizing internal events such as team offsites, including travel booking and other logistics.

• External events and PR. Assist with organizing attendance at external events and conferences; work with DoubleZero’s marketing team to coordinate PR activities, including executive interviews, press releases, and more. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• 4+ years of total EA or operations experience.

• 1+ years of crypto experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to deal with ambiguity; can bring structure and focus to complex questions.

• Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

• Willingness to travel several times per year.
