The Department of gRED Business Operations and Communication is seeking an accomplished Administrative Professional to join our team in South San Francisco. Reporting directly to the Vice President and Head of Operations and Communications, the Executive Administrative Business Partner is an integral part of the department, responsible for direct contribution in complex administrative and operational support matters.
The Executive Administrative Business Partner is responsible for a diverse range of administrative duties, which are performed with keen attention to quality, detail and confidentiality. We are looking for a thought partner who anticipates and executes on priorities in a high-visibility and high-impact environment. This team member will interface with multiple departments throughout Genentech Research and Early Development, Genentech, and Roche.
This position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at the South San Francisco campus.
The Opportunity:

Proactively assess, advise, and highlight priorities and actions for the VP of gRED Business Operations and Communications

Provide timely, accurate, and effective administrative support to the gRED Business Operations and Communications team

General office responsibilities include: maintain multiple calendars; plan, schedule, and coordinate teleconferences, travel, onsite/offsite meetings; process payment and expense reports

Support the coordination of all-gRED events, which may involve some external vendor management

Address problems and develop practical, thorough, and creative solutions without relying on precedent or supervisory review

Exercise independent judgment and discretion of sensitive/confidential and proprietary information

Partner with manager and other team members to maximize the efficiency of the group

Participate in or lead projects within and across work groups

Support recruiting activities, providing timely scheduling and positive candidate experience

Collaborate seamlessly with other admins, Recruiting, and other functions outside of gRED

Independently creates and delivers communications based on general instructions

May coordinate workflow across other Administrative Professionals
Who you are:

Minimum of 7+ years of management associate or administrative support experience, including a minimum of 4+ years of experience supporting senior leadership

BS/BA degree, or equivalent work experience

Proficient with email, calendar, word-processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications; Microsoft Office & google suite required

Ability to quickly learn new skills and software applications

Skilled in establishing contacts outside of one's work group and functional organization, develop positive partnerships with others to improve efficiency

Ability to handle routine and impromptu assignments with minimal direction

Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task

Ability to successfully work in a high-visibility and high-impact environment

Demonstrated skills in completing complex global travel arrangements/itineraries and expense reports

Demonstrated success in directly supporting senior level leaders (VP+).

Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $105,600 - $196,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
