We’re looking for an organized, proactive Events & Marketing Coordinator to bring consumer travel events to life and support the marketing that keeps customers connected. If you enjoy coordinating people, managing details, and seeing a plan come together onsite, this role offers hands-on ownership with room to grow.
This is an onsite position based in Tucson, Arizona, with local travel required for events.
About the Role
Events are the primary focus, from a large annual travel show to smaller supplier presentations and online webinars. You will coordinate free, consumer-facing events that bring multiple travel suppliers together, managing the details from planning and promotion through setup, execution, and follow-up.
Between seasonal event peaks, you will support marketing campaigns and social media activity. This combined role is ideal for someone with practical event coordination experience or an early-career candidate who has managed meaningful events through internships, hospitality, campus organizations, or community activities.
What You’ll Own
- Event Planning: Coordinate consumer travel shows, supplier presentations, and smaller events, keeping timelines, task lists, and communications organized.
- Supplier and Venue Coordination: Work with travel suppliers, venues, vendors, and internal teams to bring multiple participants together for a well-run event.
- Onsite Execution: Handle setup, registration, signage, materials, onsite coordination, and breakdown, helping guests and suppliers have a positive experience.
- Supplier Webinars: Coordinate online events, including scheduling, promotional materials, participant communications, and follow-up.
- Event Promotion: Support invitations, email communications, and promotional content that encourage attendance at our free events.
- Results and Follow-Up: Track attendance, expenses, and event outcomes, and keep post-event communications and next steps moving.
- Marketing Support: Help coordinate campaigns, creative assets, approvals, and deadlines across email, web, print, and other channels.
- Social Media: Create and schedule event-related and brand content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and monitor engagement.
- Quality and Organization: Proofread materials, check details, and maintain calendars so marketing work and event deadlines stay on track.
What You’ll Bring
- Event planning or coordination experience, whether gained professionally, through internships, or through substantial campus or community involvement.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage several deadlines and changing priorities.
- Clear, professional communication with suppliers, vendors, customers, and colleagues.
- A dependable, hands-on approach. You are comfortable handling both the planning and the practical work that makes an event successful.
- Some familiarity with marketing and social media. Broader campaign experience is a plus, but event coordination is the priority.
- Attention to detail and confidence proofreading customer-facing materials.
- Comfort using everyday business software and learning new marketing, webinar, and social media tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Reliable transportation for local event travel, including Tucson, Green Valley, Oro Valley, and occasional Phoenix-area events.
- Availability to occasionally work outside standard business hours for events.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move event materials and boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
