Job Description
The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) team is part of JPMorgan's global Firmwide Events, Sponsorships and Tickets, and Creative Services team, which focuses on strategic direction and execution of franchise client events, third-party conferences and creative services. The focus will be working on franchise client and third party conferences in North America for the Payments business.
As an Event Management Associate for the Corporate & Investment Bank you will plan and execute events by collaborating with a broad range of business partners within Corporate & Investment Banks Events Marketing team, the Payments business and other areas of the firm. Your focus will be working on Corporate and E-Commerce sector events. In addition, you will help the Payments business increase awareness of our J.P. Morgan brand and capabilities in growth areas such as E-Commerce, Consumer Retail and Healthcare sectors as well as increase client business, deepen existing relationships, lead efficiencies for internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard.
Job responsibilities:

  • Apply the fundamentals of the business, target audiences and department goals and translate the knowledge into successful client events
  • Lead and participate on event planning teams, direct inquiries to the proper individuals or departments, and answer inquiries on events
  • Manage multiple programs and task to deliver event-related projects at the same time with different Event team members as the lead independently
  • Contribute to the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including, but not limited to: venue research; data maintenance and integrity; internal and external communications; invitation creation, testing and distribution; pre-event tasks, like audio visual and technical requirements; delegation housing and registration; on-site staffing and support; post-event tasks, such as consolidating survey data, processing expenses and supporting event debriefs
  • Manage administrative tasks, e.g., manage, review and reconcile reports (RSVP, delegation, registration, dinner assignments, etc.); managing event supplies and shipping; premium research and ordering; and production tasks of event materials like name badges, biographies, speaker introductions, briefing memos and printing, contract negotiations, A/V, venue management.
  • Collaborate with other marketers and other marketing teams on event data and analysis as well as assist in the development and reconciliation of event budgets
  • Become a 'super user' of core event related technologies


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in events with experience in a Financial Services or Software/Technology industry
  • BA/BS degree
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a strength in project and data management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing, proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated
  • Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables and develop project timelines
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and ability to problem solve/think independently
  • Willingness to be a team player and consistently interact with peers, partners, management, relationship managers and clients
  • Must be able to tackle any task, trouble shoot and exemplify a positive attitude and commitment to success
  • Expert in Microsoft suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, V lookups and macros), PowerPoint (i.e., interactive links, incorporate audio/visual icons, animation); TEAMS and proficient in SharePoint
  • Requires early mornings and late nights and some travel

  • Bilingual
  • Proficiency with firm-wide systems or ability to quickly learn systems
  • Tradeshows and industry conferences
