Join us as an Events & Communications Trainee
Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets through impactful events and strategic communications?
We are looking for an Events & Communications Trainee to join the Euronext Lisbon Events and Press Team. This position will be based in Lisbon, with occasional travel to Porto required.
You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for organizing over 30 events per year, working closely with multiple departments across Euronext, including Marketing, Institutional and Internal Communications, Human Resources, and Management, as well as with Events and Communications teams in other Euronext locations.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate event management, communications, and cross-border project coordination within a leading pan-European exchange.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Events and Projects
The Events & Communications Trainee will assist the team in the organization of major initiatives such as:
Pan-European projects, including international academic campuses for pre-IPO programs
European and local conferences
Workshops and internal initiatives
Press conferences and roadshows
In addition, the trainee will also independently support the organization of smaller-scale events such as:
IPO and non-IPO ceremonies
Private lunches, dinners, and cocktails
Local workshops and conferences
The trainee will also collaborate on pan-European projects, working with colleagues from Euronext’s various locations to ensure coordination and consistency across initiatives.
2. Operational and Administrative Support:
Support the administrative and logistical aspects of event planning and execution.
Assist with supplier coordination, venue booking, and material preparation.
Contribute to budget tracking and the maintenance of project documentation.
Help prepare event communication materials (invitations, presentations, agendas, follow-ups).
Support reporting and evaluation activities after each event to help identify improvement opportunities.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and alignment with Euronext’s communication and marketing strategy.
Contribute to the dissemination of information and updates between local and central teams.
Ensure consistency and quality in the representation of Euronext’s brand across all events and communications.
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
Excellent organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English; Portuguese is required, and French or other European languages are a plus.
Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Creative mindset and eagerness to contribute ideas for improving processes and event experiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Interest in event management, corporate communications, and marketing.
