We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Events Assistant to join our team in the wealth advising industry. This role supports the execution of educational seminars, client workshops, and special events designed to help individuals prepare for a confident retirement. This team member will help with logistics, RSVP outreach, guest support, and on-site event setup. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their responsibilities, embraces learning opportunities, and consistently chooses to do the right thing for our team, our clients, and our community. Must be available to work evenings and some weekends.

$40,000 - $50,000 annually***

Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Support the Event Coordinator and Marketing Manager with event preparation and executions
  • Make phone calls to confirm RSVPs, manage guest lists, and provide warm, professional client communication
  • Assist in setting up event venues, preparing materials, organizing supplies, and breaking down after events
  • Provide a helpful, service-first presence during events, including welcoming guests and assisting with check-in
  • Occasionally speak in front of small groups (e.g., welcoming attendees, introducing speakers)
  • Maintain event documentation, help track expenses, manage inventory, and handle vendor follow-up
  • Collaborate with the team on email outreach, printed materials, and promotional mailers
  • Participate in debriefs and suggest ways to improve guest experience and event efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience 

  •  Education in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field, OR equivalent of 1–2 years of experience in customer service, events, administrative, or hospitality roles
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident phone manner with excellent interpersonal communication
  • Willingness to work evenings and some weekends as required for events
  • Ability to lift and transport event materials and remain active throughout events
  • Proficient in Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM (Salesforce or Hubspot) and event tools is a plus
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a mission-driven, team-oriented environment
