ARTECHOUSE Houston is a landmark destination for immersive, technology-driven art experiences. Spanning 26,000 square feet of cutting-edge visuals, audio, and interactivity, it offers an unparalleled canvas for private events, brand activations, strategic partnerships, and custom content productions.

We’re seeking an Event Sales Manager to lead the growth of our private event business in the Houston market—from identifying and closing high-impact leads to delivering unforgettable experiences. This role is ideal for a connected, self-motivated sales professional with deep roots in the Houston events scene, a strong network of clients, and the ability to confidently pitch both venue rentals and immersive content solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow private event and activation bookings, with a focus on corporate, brand, and institutional clients
  • Leverage your existing Houston network and cultivate new relationships through sales calls, trade shows, site visits, and targeted outreach
  • Identify and pitch immersive event opportunities that utilize ARTECHOUSE’s custom content and experiential production capabilities
  • Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, client pitching, proposal creation, pricing, contract negotiation, and payment coordination
  • Prepare regular reporting on pipeline status, forecasts, revenue, and profitability

Client & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary client contact from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up
  • Conduct walkthroughs and site visits, clearly communicating capabilities and offerings
  • Build long-term relationships with event professionals, agencies, production teams, and community partners to drive repeat and referral business
  • Ensure a best-in-class client experience at every touchpoint before, during, and after the event

Event Planning & Execution

  • Oversee all logistics related to private and branded events—working closely with internal teams (production, tech, operations, marketing) and third-party vendors
  • Manage and maintain the event calendar, ensuring smooth scheduling and resource allocation
  • Lead pre-event planning meetings, prepare detailed briefs for internal teams, and act as on-site liaison during events
  • Ensure all events meet client expectations and uphold ARTECHOUSE’s high standards for creativity, innovation, and professionalism
  • Gather client feedback and post-event insights to improve future activations

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in venue or event sales, with a proven track record of hitting sales goals and closing high-value deals
  • Strong Houston-area network within the events, hospitality, brand, or agency space
  • Deep understanding of experiential marketing, branded activations, and high-touch client experiences
  • Skilled in proposal development, contract negotiation, and sales reporting
  • Experience managing full-service events from start to finish, including coordination with vendors and internal teams
  • Proficient in CRM systems and event platforms like Tripleseat, PartyPay, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a polished presentation style
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for immersive experiences, art, and emerging technology

Bonus Skills

  • Experience pitching or selling custom content/digital installations
  • Background in event operations or production
  • Familiarity with creative agencies or integrated marketing activations

What We Offer

  • A cutting-edge venue and product to sell—offering both space and experiential storytelling
  • Base salary + commission structure with high earning potential
  • Access to all ARTECHOUSE exhibitions and internal events
  • A creative, mission-driven, and entrepreneurial team environment
  • Opportunity to shape the future of ARTECHOUSE’s event and activation business in Houston
