Job Description
We are seeking skilled ETL Developers (AD2/AD3) to join a transversal squad/dev team responsible for maintaining and supporting our Data Factory framework. This program is key to delivering a robust Data Aggregation and Curation platform that consolidates, harmonizes, and qualifies operational and referential data into a centralized repository.
As an ETL Developer, you will contribute to the development, support, and evolution of our technologies, ensuring high-quality delivery and working in an environment with growing technological scopes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full ETL development cycle (analysis, development, testing, and deployment), focusing on IBM Datastage PX and SQL.
- Perform unit, integration, and automated testing using tools like Octane or Quality Center.
- Apply recommended best practices and methodologies.
- Identify innovative solutions and implement proof of concepts based on project needs.
- Provide maintenance and support for the application portfolio.
- Develop functional and technical expertise in the application and technology stack.
- Challenge business and technical requirements and contribute to defining technical solutions.
- Develop and customize Datastage components and enablers.
- Monitor performance and address related issues.
- Deliver projects with high quality and reliability.
Qualifications
Nice to Have:
- Experience with REST APIs and service/event-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
- Experience in Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean, SCRUM).
Technical Skills:
- Experience with IBM Datastage PX or similar ETL tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development (Oracle database).
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Shell scripting (Unix/Linux).
- Ability to document bug reports, tickets, and code changes.
- Strong technical analysis and documentation skills.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Soft Skills:
- Autonomous, organized, and delivery-focused, with attention to detail.
- Proactive mindset, taking initiative to mitigate risks and prevent issues.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of reaching agreements with sponsors.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
