About the ETF market structure and strategy team
The team sits at the intersection of market microstructure, quantitative research and client strategy. Operating across Paris, Milan and London, we define the trading experience for one of Europe's fastest-growing asset classes. Our mandate includes:
Setting the standard for ETF market quality and trading experience on Euronext
Architecting market making programmes and fee structures to attract and retain top-tier liquidity providers
Developing proprietary liquidity research and order book analytics
Building and stewarding relationships with sophisticated trading participants in Europe, including global banks, market makers and proprietary trading firms
Leading business development initiatives to expand Euronext's ETF offering and bring innovative trading solutions to market
The role
As ETF liquidity manager, you will own the liquidity agenda for the platform, from designing pricing schemes and supervising quantitative research, to leading client engagement with senior decision-makers at top-tier institutions. You will serve as Euronext's market structure authority, representing the company in front of demanding, high-profile counterparts. You will work closely with business development, quant and product teams.
You will be primarily responsible for:
1. Market quality and liquidity strategy
Analyse order book dynamics and trading member behaviour, translating data into strategic insights to improve ETF liquidity
Lead competitive benchmarking and market quality assessments to sharpen Euronext's positioning and drive continuous improvement
Act as the internal centre of expertise on ETF liquidity, guiding adjacent teams and informing product and commercial decisions
2. Pricing and programme architecture
Design and evolve competitive fee structures and market making programmes aligned with Euronext's strategic positioning
Oversee end-to-end implementation of pricing initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across billing and trading systems
Build robust business cases to support pricing changes and deliver measurable value for clients and the platform
5. Client and stakeholder engagement
Lead high-stakes interactions with liquidity providers and trading participants
Craft and deliver compelling, data-driven narratives for senior management, clients and industry forums
Partner with business development to convert market quality insights into differentiated client propositions
4. Innovation and feature deployment
Lead the rollout and adoption of advanced trading functionalities, including enhancements and new liquidity mechanisms
Define and deliver deployment strategies, coordinate stakeholders and drive adoption among key market participants
5. Quantitative leadership and collaboration
Frame business needs as well-defined quantitative problems
Supervise and develop the quant analyst, defining priorities and ensuring modelling outputs are robust, relevant and operationally actionable
Integrate quantitative insights into pricing decisions, strategies and client materials
Your profile
At least seven years’ experience in ETF trading, liquidity management or market structure, ideally gained at an exchange, asset manager, bank, market maker or proprietary trading firm
Deep command of electronic trading, order book dynamics and ETF market microstructure
Established credibility with sophisticated market participants; comfortable engaging at senior and C-suite level on both commercial and technical topics
Sharp analytical mind, able to turn complex market dynamics into clear, actionable strategies; quantitative skills valued, but deep modelling expertise is not required
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stakeholder initiatives autonomously, owning outcomes end-to-end
Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to tailor complex content to diverse audiences
Fluent in English; French or Italian is a plus
