Responsibilities
- Preparation and floating enquiry for Bough out items to various Vendors and evaluation of their quotes
- Evaluate quotations and getting clarifications with respect to project requirements
- Coordination with purchase team for fabrication rates.
- Discussion with manufacturing team for evaluating the Shop Man Hours.
- Discussion with engineering team to arrive at engineering man hours
- Coordination with Construction team for evaluation of erection cost and Modularization assembly charges (For Export bids)
- Analysing the scope of project and complexity involved for evaluating the Project and Engineering Man Hours
- Preparation of cost optimization points, take off and add on calculations.
- Final Preparation of commercial estimates for customers by optimally utilizing resources at the Head Office and coordinating with various departments like Proposals, E&I, Detail Engineering, Construction team, Purchase, Logistics, Finance
- Participation in Order Transfer Meeting during receipt of order
- Preparation of Scope (WBS) Wise Budget and releasing in the system.
- Supporting with Project / Procurement team at post order stage for providing Budget Basis and evaluation of those BO items.
- Participation in Cost Review Meeting during execution phase with Projects / Finance / Marketing / Planning / Procurement
- Checking of raw material price / steel Price Trend and availability in local market during regular intervals.
- Reviewing the raw material Rate contracts and preparing the comparison schedule.
- Preparation of cost database for various Bought out items.
- Analyse about the cost overrun / savings and its impact on project.
Requirements
- Knowledge about Oil & Gas products and equipments
- Knolwedge about design codes and material specification such as ASTM, EN, Piping standards
- Review project specification, P& ID, formulate Bill of Quantity and identify key cost drivers
- Review of vendor proposals, technical and commercial clarifications and cost reduction methods
- Financial instruments and its implication on input cost, project cash flow working and payment terms
- Internal review with engineering regarding optimization of bill of quantity and manufacturing regarding man hour optimization
- Identify risk involved and mitigation process
Skills Required
