This role sits in Business Banking (BB), and reports to the Senior Manager Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) Risk.

As an analyst in the ESG Risk team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of ESG risk related initiatives as well as providing advice and guidance on ESG risk policies, governance and commitments.
On any given day you will:
Contribute to the development, delivery, and governance of the ESG risk assessment.
Work with frontline and risk teams to support decision making on Business Banking clients’ assessments, using your growing expertise on risks such as climate risk and modern slavery.
Analyse ESG data and collate findings into portfolio reporting and insights.
Develop capability program materials and uplift frontline understanding of ESG risk management.
Participate in the review and strengthening of control design for the ESG risk process.
Organise and support the facilitation of Action Groups.
We're looking for people who have:
Experience in a related role, including ESG, risk, product management, governance, analytics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with and influence stakeholders.
Excellent critical thinking skills, including a structured approach to problem solving.
Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive attitude.
Some understanding of current ESG landscape and/or Risk & Controls advantageous.
