Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (SDET) – BDD & Salesforce Focus

About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium Java and Cucumber BDD to join our quality engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing robust automation frameworks, automating complex test scenarios, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure the highest quality of our applications, specifically within the Salesforce ecosystem.
Current Technical Stack & Responsibilities:
- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java) integrated with the Cucumber BDD Framework.
- Framework Development: Utilize Maven for build management and TestNG for test execution and parallel testing.
- Test Case Design: Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into Gherkin Syntax (.feature files) with well-structured Scenarios, Scenario Outlines, and Data Tables.
- Reporting: Implement and customize reporting tools (e.g., Extent Reports) to provide clear visibility of test execution results to stakeholders.
- Salesforce Testing: Execute and automate UI tests for Salesforce applications, understanding the unique challenges of testing on the Force.com platform.
- Tools Utilization: Maintain and enhance existing automation suites using IntelliJ IDEA and contribute to legacy test suites built on Redwood HQ and Test Complete.
- Advanced BDD Collaboration: Working closely with Product Owners and Developers to refine acceptance criteria using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) best practices.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrating automation frameworks with Jenkins/GitHub Actions for continuous testing.
- API Testing: Expanding skills to include REST Assured for backend validation.
- Performance Testing: Exposure to JMeter or similar tools.
Key Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium (Java), Cucumber, Maven, and TestNG.
Proficiency in writing Gherkin (Feature Files, Step Definitions) and managing Data Tables.
Experience with automation reporting tools like Extent Reports or Allure.
Familiarity with Salesforce UI automation (knowing the DOM structure, identifying dynamic elements).
Experience working with legacy automation tools (Redwood HQ, Test Complete) is a plus.
Proficiency in IntelliJ IDEA or similar IDEs.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
