  Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented ERP Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for our Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 environment, Microsoft SQL Server databases, and related business systems. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our ERP platform, supporting key business functions across manufacturing, finance, supply chain, operations, and reporting.



Requirements

  

ERP Administration & Support

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
  • Administer and maintain Production, Test, Development, and Training environments.
  • Configure and support ERP modules including Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
  • Manage system configuration, security roles, user access, and segregation of duties.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshot system issues, transaction errors, workflow failures, and data inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate testing, upgrades, patches, system enhancements, and application changes.
  • Develop and maintain ERP support documentation, standards, and procedures.

SQL Database Administration & Development

  • Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting Dynamics AX and related business applications.
  • Monitor database health, performance, storage, and availability.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, and data models.
  • Manage database maintenance activities including backups, restores, indexing, statistics updates, and integrity checks.
  • Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks and data-related issues.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and database recovery activities.
  • Implement and maintain database security and access controls.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Solutions

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Create operational reports, executive dashboards, manufacturing KPIs, financial reports, and business analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain datasets, reporting structures, and data models.
  • Validate report accuracy and ensure consistency across reporting platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Support enterprise reporting standardization and data governance initiatives. 

Manufacturing Systems & Business Process Support

  • Support business processes related to manufacturing, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain operations.
  • Assist with data structures including Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, work orders, inventory transactions, costing, and production reporting.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend system improvements.
  • Partner with business users to identify automation opportunities and process efficiencies.
  • Provide technical and functional support to users across multiple departments. 

Data Governance & System Integration

  • Maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity across ERP and reporting systems.
  • Support data imports, exports, migrations, validation, and cleansing efforts.
  • Assist with integration support between ERP, reporting, manufacturing, and third-party systems.
  • Support audit requests, compliance reviews, and internal control activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation for data flows, integrations, and business systems processes.
  • Participate in ERP modernization and future ERP migration initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field with equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience or Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent work experience. 

· Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or comparable ERP systems. 

· Minimum 3 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments. 

· Strong experience with: 

  • T-SQL development
  • Query optimization
  • Stored procedures
  • Views and database design
  • Performance tuning
  • Database maintenance

· Experience developing reports using SSRS and SQL reporting tools. 

· Experience supporting manufacturing business processes and ERP workflows. 

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 

· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. 

· Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. 

· Ability to lift and carry office equipment or equipment required for responsibilities (typically up to 25lbs).

· Ability to work in climate controlled and non-controlled environments.
