Jefferies is at the forefront of the technological transformation impacting the investment research industry. This role is for an individual that intends to rapidly scale our platforms, with the intention to better serving our clients (investment managers).
You will work alongside a senior-ranked analyst covering Beverages, Consumer Products, and Health & Wellness, while helping design and build proprietary research systems that generate differentiated insights for institutional investors.
We are looking someone who enjoys creating tools, automating workflows, experimenting with new technologies, and solving problems that have never been solved before. This individual should also have an interest in the markets and investing.
What You'll Do
Build the Future Research Platform
- Design and develop AI-powered research workflows, agents, and knowledge systems
- Create proprietary databases that consolidate public, private, and alternative data sources
- Build tools that automate information gathering, monitoring, analysis, and synthesis
- Identify opportunities to leverage large language models, machine learning, and emerging AI technologies throughout the research process
- Continuously experiment with new technologies to improve productivity and insight generation
Generate Differentiated Investment Research
- Analyze companies across the consumer ecosystem, including brands, suppliers, distributors, retailers, and emerging challengers
- Develop unique investment insights from alternative data, field research, and proprietary analytics

- Build and maintain forecasting models and analytical frameworks

Engage With Industry Leaders

Publish Research

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $165,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications. - 3+ years of equity research or buyside investment management experience
- Extremely proficient in financial and data modeling utilizing Excel, alternative data, coding, AI
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and agents, including experience with prompt development and leveraging AI to enhance workflows and productivity
- Solid ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interest and some familiarity with the consumer industry as an analyst or consumer
