The Role

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst or Associate to join our Business & Information services team at Bank of America. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the grit to tackle complex financial analysis with precision and urgency. A key part of this role is the ability to translate data-driven insights into clear, compelling research for institutional investors. As a Junior Equity Research Analyst, you will support senior analysts in delivering high-quality investment research to institutional clients.

Strong writing skills are essential - you should be able to take intricate financial models and industry trends and distill them into plain, impactful language. If you have a passion for markets, a sharp analytical mind, and a drive to produce differentiated research, we would love to hear from you.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing ability - clear, concise, and insightful
  • Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
  • 0-3 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or a related field (for Analyst); 3+ years for Associate

Key responsibilities will include:

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including earnings forecasts, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses
  • Analyze financial statements, earnings reports, and key industry metrics to assess company performance
  • Track and interpret macroeconomic trends and sector-specific developments that impact stock valuations

Research & Writing

  • Assist in drafting research reports, stock recommendations, and investment insights in clear, concise language
  • Summarize complex financial concepts and industry trends for investors
  • Help develop investment theses and support senior analysts in formulating recommendations

Market & Industry Monitoring

  • Track news, earnings releases, and corporate announcements to provide timely insights
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify key investment themes
  • Gather and synthesize data from various sources, including company filings, management calls, and third-party research

Client & Team Support

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide data-driven insights
  • Assist in preparing materials for client meetings, investor conferences, and company management discussions
  • Work closely with sales, trading, and other teams to support equity research initiatives

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$70,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
