Equity Research - Analyst/ Associate

As an Analyst/ Associate in Equity Research, you may help to conduct and facilitate industry analysis and company-specific coverage. Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates who possess strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing/communication skills, as well as modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience.
Working with the research Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing greater china tech hardware, semiconductor companies, or other assigned industry companies, modeling them, understanding industry dynamics, interacting with companies, collecting and analyzing background industry and company data and support production of research reports on relevant industry and companies.
Job responsibilities

• Conduct core research ranging from dissecting earnings releases and regulatory filings to assessing relevant news events,
• Perform modelling financial statements and industry dynamics, performing detailed valuation work, writing research notes and sector pieces, and
• Speak to internal/external clients and management teams about the stocks/sector.
• Work with our partners in both sales and trading to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates and market intelligence.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Strong academic performance with demonstrated proficiency in accounting, quantitative and finance.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Excel and Microsoft office Suite of products.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Passion in the capital market and technology industry.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• CFA, or progress toward a CFA, is a plus
• Senior Securities Broker license is a plus.
• 0 - 3 years experience in Equity Research roles ( either buy side or sell side) are preferred.
