Join J.P. Morgan's Commercial & Investment Bank as a Trade Support Transformation Vice President, where you will lead strategic change and drive impactful results across the APAC Equities business-including Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Finance. As a Vice President within Equity Derivatives Middle Office, you will provide thought leadership, manage high-performing teams, and partner with senior stakeholders to shape the future of trade support and middle office operations. You will champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee large-scale transformation initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency across multiple product lines. Set the vision and strategy for trade support transformation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build, lead, and mentor diverse teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning, growth, and high performance. Effectively delegate tasks and develop talent within the team.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for trading, sales, client servicing, business managers, product control, legal, compliance, settlement, and control teams. Influence and collaborate with senior management to resolve complex issues and drive consensus.
- Oversee the management and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects. Ensure robust project governance, timely execution, and effective risk management. Lead preparation and execution of UAT, ensuring business requirements are translated into comprehensive test plans.
- Drive business process re-engineering using BPM, analytics, and automation tools. Perform root cause analysis to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and control.
- Champion the use of data analytics, AI/ML, and digital tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Xceptor, Robotics) to monitor program progress, inform decision-making, and deliver data-driven enhancements.
- Ensure rigorous control standards and regulatory obligations are met. Lead initiatives to adapt to regulatory changes and design controls for new business opportunities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities to evolve processes, business architecture, and team capabilities.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 8 years' experience in middle office, trade support, or project management roles within financial services, with significant exposure to Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, and Prime Finance workflows.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale transformation or process improvement projects across multiple business units and product lines.
- Extensive product knowledge of equity derivatives (e.g., Equity Swaps, Options, Futures, ETFs) and comprehensive understanding of front-to-back operations processes.
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics, automation, and digital tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Xceptor, VBA, SQL).
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, process documentation, and managing complex projects for Front Office, Operations, or Technology.
- Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and influence at all levels, including senior executives and external partners.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and effective in both independent and collaborative settings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning use cases to enhance project outcomes.
- Hands-on automation experience to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
- Deep expertise in statistical analysis, experimental design, and causal inference.
- Language skills such as Mandarin are an asset.
