As an Analyst/Associate on the Delta One desk, part of the Equity Derivatives Group (EDG), you will work in a small team environment and be responsible for risk managing, pricing, market making and trading Delta One products (e.g. index swaps, forwards, EFPs and ETFs) over Australian and, later, offshore underlyings. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with the trading team to grow and develop the Australian Delta One Equity business

  • Actively price, trade and make markets in futures, forwards, swaps, EFPs, ETFs and manage associated risk

  • Satisfy client demand through competitively priced and traded instruments

  • Build and maintain tools to improve our trading capabilities

  • Work in partnership with IT, Back Office, Middle Office and Compliance to improve trading capabilities, controls, reporting and risk analysis 

  • Expand our electronic market making offering in delta one and ETF products

  • Work with quantitative research and technology teams to develop trading strategies based on statistical analysis and modelling of signals

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, Economics or Computer Science, although this role is open to penultimate year candidates

  • Strong technical/development skills (Java, C#, Python, SQL) and experience with SDLC tools 

  • Very high level of attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • A driven personality with the desire to contribute above and beyond expectations

  • Actively promotes co-operation between team members & other teams

  • Technical knowledge of linear derivatives including futures and swaps pricing

  • Experience with both the Australian equities and equity derivatives markets is desirable
