Join our dynamic Equities Operations Transformation team as a Senior Test Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the quality and success of strategic transformation initiatives across the APAC Corporate and Investment Banking Equities business.
As a Senior Test Manager within Equities Operations Transformation, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end testing strategy, execution, and delivery for complex projects, ensuring robust solutions that support business growth, regulatory change, and operational excellence.
Job responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive test strategies and plans for strategic system implementations, business process improvements, and regulatory change initiatives.
- Lead and manage all phases of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and compliance, proactively identifying and resolving issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Business Managers, Operations Leads, Technology teams, and other internal or external partners to align testing activities with business priorities and project objectives.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing testing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
- Drive the adoption and optimization of automation tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency, accuracy, and coverage.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, results, and metrics. Provide clear, data-driven reporting and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, improve controls, and support the transformation agenda.
- Proactively manage risks and issues related to testing, ensuring timely escalation and resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring testing activities are integrated into overall project plans and milestones.
- Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into effective test cases, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in leading and managing complex testing programs within the financial services industry, preferably in Equities, Capital Markets, or Securities Services.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, organizing, delivering projects on time and within scope, and experience in Agile project delivery and adaptable to evolving methodologies.
- Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, and translate them into actionable testing strategies.
- Deep expertise in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., UI Path, Selenium, QTP), and data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx).
- Strong understanding of equities products, trade management, settlement workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and provide timely solutions.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, able to interact professionally with senior executives, business leads, technology teams, and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications in project management or testing (e.g., ISTQB, PMP, Agile) are preferred.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with strategic system implementation, business process re-engineering, and regulatory change projects.
- Hands-on experience with automation and AI/ML use cases to enhance testing outcomes.
- Familiarity with BPM tools and techniques for process analysis and documentation.
- Experience in managing stakeholder forums and cross-team initiatives.
