Overall Scope: The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining gym equipment on gym properties.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service while performing service call.
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs as described by manufacturer specs.
- Diagnose issues with equipment and order/get quotes for parts needed for repairs
- Inspect gym equipment and devices to ensure proper operation.
- Operate gym equipment.
- Access our online Ticket System to receive and close tickets.
- Log maintenance and repair requests in the Store Request Log.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional attitude, demeanor, and timeliness
- 3-5 years relevant experience.
- The successful candidate will need to have reliable transportation
- Experience of working in a fitness environment is highly preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions from a manual.
- Experience with computers preferred.
- You must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic skills with hand and some power tools required.
- Adaptable to changing work methods and flexibility during the workday is required.
- Ability to lift heavy items (150 lbs. or more) repeatedly while climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motions during shift.
- This position involves traveling to various gyms in the metro area.
