Job description
Hiring part-time summer help to assist the equine facilities on campus at Delaware Valley University. Facility placement at either the Breeding Center or Equestrian Center may be based on interest, experience, and availability for scheduling. This individual will work directly alongside our student staff currently employed at the facilities and assist in the care of the horses for day-to-day tasks including but not limited to stall cleaning, feeding, turnout, watering, grooming, treatments, basic upkeep of the facility, and more. Horse experience is preferred. Riding opportunities may be available for the right individual at the Equestrian Center on our school horses.
Applicants should
- have flexible availability for AM/PM shifts, during the week and on weekends
- have reliable transportation and live a reasonable distance from the university (Doylestown, PA)
- be hard-working, and a good team player
- be able to follow instructions with ease and communicate well with others
- be 18 or older
Pay: $12/hour
Hours: 20-25 hours/week - shift times vary between facilities. Both facilities have 3 scheduled shifts per day (approximately 7-11 am, 3-6 pm, 8:30-9:30 pm), with the opportunity to work more hours outside of shift times doing extra chores.
Required Clearance: Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the university with a Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check clearance.
