Project Scope
We are seeking an Epic Orders certified analyst to support our client in Dubai during an Epic Implementation. The project involves migrating from multiple legacy ordering systems, establishing standardized order sets, improving clinical decision support, and enabling safe and efficient ordering workflows across inpatient and ambulatory care.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Orders Analyst to support design and build of ordering workflows across clinical specialties. This role ensures that order sets, preference lists, results workflows, clinical decision support, and provider ordering tools are fully optimized, accurate, and validated for deployment across the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and configure Epic Orders workflows including order sets, preference lists, order composer tools, and CDS/BPA rules.
• Work with clinical leaders and providers to gather requirements, define ordering workflows, and translate needs into system design.
• Configure SmartSets, SmartTools, order panels, cascading orders, routing rules, security, and integration with pharmacy, lab, radiology, and other ancillary modules.
• Execute unit, integrated, and UAT testing; troubleshoot issues and collaborate with cross-module teams (Willow, Beaker, Radiant, ClinDoc, Ambulatory).
• Support training, go-live preparation, and post–go-live stabilization and optimization of ordering workflows.
Qualifications
- Epic Orders certification required
- Ability to travel to site
- 3+ years of Epic Orders build/implementation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, order set governance, CDS logic, and interdisciplinary ordering needs.
- International healthcare implementation experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within large project teams.
