We are seeking a EOF Administrative and Programming Assistant who will report directly to the Director of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program. The Assistant is responsible for fulfilling clerical, accounting, and EOF event planning duties in accordance with the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education/EOF Program regulations and guidelines and college policy.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
Examples of Duties:
- Professionally greet all visitors as they enter the EOF Suite.
- Maintain a log of all program expenditures, purchase requisitions, and supply inventory.
- Maintain database of student profile, academic, and engagement data.
- Complete various tasks associated with EOF event preparation.
- Develop EOF Program promotional material for events and student recruitment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as directed.
- Contact students as needed on behalf of the EOF director.
- Schedule group meetings with students, staff, and community stakeholders as directed.
- Organize and maintain the EOF Program’s physical and virtual space.
- Train, schedule, and delegate administrative and programming duties to part-time office staff.
- Take minutes at staff and other college meetings as needed.
- Complete duties as assigned by the EOF Director or designee.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience working as an administrative or technical assistant in an educational setting preferred.
- Must be highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience managing a database is a plus.
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal relationships, as part of an administrative team.
- Must be sensitive to the needs of the student population of an urban area community college.
- Must be very organized and detail oriented.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $16-$17.
