Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join our team in Berkeley, MO.
The Boeing Test & Evaluation Thermal Test Engineering Labs support various defense, space and commercial programs. There are several areas of Environmental Test performed at this location which include: Acoustics, Airflow, Altitude, Dynamics, Fluids, Hyper sonics, Pressure, Temperature, Thermal Management Systems and Vibration.
This hands-on position will include all facets of the test lifecycle from test design, setup and execution to data review and final reporting. Examples of work performed in these areas include High Temperature Test Hardware Design and Configuration; Fluid flow system design and configuration; mechanical systems design and configuration, electro-mechanical design, program logic controls, writing and executing LabView software controls. Work is performed individually as well as in a group/team environment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods
  • Develop simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
  • Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
  • Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware
  • Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools
  • Supports development of test debrief material
  • Participates in evaluation of test performance data
  • Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
  • Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
  • Prepare test reports for review
  • Works under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with engineering data acquisition and related software such as Lab View

Summary pay range:
Level 2: $85,000-$115,000
Level 3: $103,700-$140,300
