Join us as our new Environmental Specialist

We’re looking for an Environmental Specialist to establish, implement and support a variety of environmental and sustainability programs to ensure compliance and achievement of company EHS and Sustainability targets driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

• Contributing to the EHS team by developing environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including air quality, water/land pollution control, and waste management.
• Leading environmental incident investigations and coordinating environmental observations, and audit response through our internal EHS system.
• Supporting maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems for all assigned sites to drive a culture of environmental compliance and sustainability.
• Managing collection and maintenance of environmental and energy use data (i.e. utilities, waste, etc.).
• Contributing to the environmental team by managing programs such as Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPPP), Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
• Developing mandatory environmental training as required by local, state or federal law or company policy.
• Guiding and supporting company Sustainability projects.
• Participating in and providing Capital Projects support for the EHS workstream, including opportunities to lead Capital projects focused on environmental and sustainability improvements.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to communicate and address environmental and sustainability matters.

To succeed you must hold:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related technical field
• Professional certifications such as CHMM, PE, CEP, etc. a bonus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, food grade preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001 standards a strong plus.
• Ability to travel ~10%.

Expected Salary Range: $75k - $95k
