Description of Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists and supports the organization’s Risk Management program.
- Assists and supports the development and implementation of the organization’s building and environmental safety program.
- Assists and supports the ongoing development and implementation of the organization’s emergency preparedness program to ensure organizational readiness.
General Development
- Displays advanced organizational skills, to organize and prioritize multiple tasks or projects at the same time.
- Has the ability to remain calm, with an objective perspective.
- Can effectively investigate and communicate findings drawn from conclusions using data, evidence, inference, and logic.
- Assists in de-escalation and can resolve conflicts that may arise due to disagreements with employees, patients, members of the public, other legal entities or governmental authorities.
Education
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Relevant college degree or certification in healthcare risk management or patient safety preferred.
Experience
1. Work experience in a healthcare setting.
2. Additional experience in quality, safety, healthcare administration or risk management is beneficial.
