Provide engineering support for equipment in Environmental Controls, Incineration Services, and Solvent Recovery to ensure that products and services are provided in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of the processes for continuous operations of wastewater treatment plants, fume incinerators, commercial liquids and solids incinerators, distillation columns, and bulk tanks in a safe and compliant manner.
- Develop preventative maintenance plans and critical spare parts inventory to ensure reliability of equipment.
- Design processes and implement process improvements incorporating safety, quality, operability, efficiency and reliability. Author change controls and own change implementation steps.
- Monitor processes and proactively address issues. Provide technical support as needed.
- Lead deviation investigations. Propose and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Stay current on GMP and environmental regulations, engineering standards, policies and procedures, and good engineering practices.
- Communicate effectively with project teams, operations, support staff, and internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering combined (ideally) with 3 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Knowledge of core process engineering disciplines such as mixing, material science, heat transfer, mass transfer, reactivity, combustion principles, and process safety management.
- Demonstrated technical, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to successfully overcome challenges and identify opportunities for improvement independently and in a team environment.
- Proven ability to contribute to a positive, productive work environment and lead a group of people towards a set of common objectives without having direct supervisory responsibility
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, SAP.
- DeltaV (or other similar automation system) is nice to have
- Able to work in a high noise/high temperature environment, indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. Available to be on call 24/7/365.
