Position Summary: The Entry Level Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations working with our contract manufacturers, assisting in building product testing devices, and using troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques with the overall objective of improving manufacturing efficiencies. This role develops, recommends, and implement improvements to production processes, materials, methods, and controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Direct and support contract manufacturers and provide direction on projects involving root cause analysis, SPC, continuous improvement, material qualification, new product development and tooling/equipment design
• Lead projects in tool development/improvement including CAD/CAM design and implementation, project priority and machine time, tuning and tooling/equipment modifications and repair
• Lead and direct lab personnel for raw material qualification for secondary/ tertiary strategic backups, cost reduction, process improvement relating to rheology, lab extrusion and physical product testing
• Focus on improving equipment performance including feeders, extruders and downstream equipment to improve uptime and rate and reduce scrap to improve plant performance
• Work with the Product Management team in the initial concepting to full scale production phase of new product development
• Act as a liaison between external contract manufacturers and tooling suppliers for new tooling, product improvements and modifications
• Participate in meetings related to plant performance, lead line efforts, engineering topics and special projects
• Serve as key member of production projects focusing on implementing recommended systems and equipment on model lines to improve performance metrics
• Communicates with contract manufacturers and their Operators, Leads, Engineers and leadership on areas of potential improvement and research new equipment and processing methods
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Hands on style approach with passion and curiosity for problem solving

• Ability to collaborate and work across multiple teams
• Ability to multi-task and operate successfully in a deadline driven environment
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "today not tomorrow" mentality.

• Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand, no matter how minute, by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.
• Ability to communicate effectively, to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions as well as others, and foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Holding oneself responsible and being self-driven in accomplishing business goals, adhering to policies and being responsible for one's own actions, performance, and decisions.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
• Completed and internship or co-op in an engineering capacity.
