The Role

We are a mission-focused marketing and fundraising firm that partners with reputable nonprofit organizations to connect powerful causes with everyday people—right in their communities. Through event-based outreach and grassroots campaigns, we raise awareness, drive support, and make social impact accessible and local.

We’re looking for a Community Outreach Trainee to join our growing team and help elevate meaningful campaigns that change lives.

💼 Position Overview

As a Community Outreach Trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach, donor engagement, and event-based marketing. You’ll be part of a high-energy team that represents charitable campaigns at community events, pop-up booths, and retail spaces, sparking conversations and inspiring action.

No previous experience required — we provide full training, mentorship, and ongoing support.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
  • Attend community events, retail locations, and public spaces to promote nonprofit campaigns

  • Educate the public on the mission, impact, and goals of our nonprofit partners

  • Initiate meaningful conversations to inspire donations and support

  • Record donor information and campaign activity with accuracy

  • Assist with event setup, display management, and post-event breakdown

  • Collaborate with outreach teammates to meet daily and weekly campaign goals

  • Participate in ongoing training in marketing, communication, and donor relations

What We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re:

  • A strong verbal communicator and natural conversationalist

  • Passionate about social causes, public service, or community involvement

  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional in public-facing roles

  • Open to feedback and eager to grow in a team setting

  • Available to work full-time, including occasional weekends or evenings

  • At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

This is an entry-level role — ideal for recent grads, career changers, or anyone excited to start a purpose-driven path.

🎁 What We Offer
  • 📚 Paid training and professional development in nonprofit marketing

  • 🚀 Career advancement opportunities into leadership and campaign management roles

  • 👫 A fun, inclusive, and mission-aligned team environment

  • 💰 Performance-based bonuses and incentive programs

  • ✈️ Travel opportunities to partner cities for regional events

  • 🌟 The chance to make a direct impact on causes that matter

🌍 Join a Team That’s Making a Difference

This is more than a job—it’s your chance to be a voice for change, learn new skills, and be part of something bigger than yourself. If you're ready to build a career that aligns with your values, we’d love to meet you.

What We Do

Invictus MSI is a team-oriented Marketing and Advertising firm focused on empowering change and social justice campaigns to help local Bay Area communities. Our 501(C)3 nonprofit clients have long histories of bringing creative, evidence-based solutions to major societal problems that require our collective, immediate response. Recently, their focus is attacking the opioid and gun violence epidemic in schools, but they currently offer more than 20 programs to promote safer, happier communities for children to grow up in. Our team is responsible for both raising awareness to their potentially life-saving programs and providing the funds necessary to implement them. Now that our team has developed a reputation for representing our 501(C)3 clients with integrity and enthusiasm, our goal is to continue expanding our client’s reach. We understand that learning how to successfully run a business is no small task, and requires a solid foundation in both leadership and management. To ensure our clients are in the best hands, each member of our team is provided with mentorship and hands-on-training through every step of the campaign development process.
