Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Entry Lean Practitioner (Process Improvement) (Level 1) to support the Fulfillment Process and Performance team in Everett, Washington. This role also requires travel to Charleston, South Carolina. Travel will be based on business needs and can be anywhere from a week to a few months.
As an Entry Lean Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in driving Lean initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for leading projects that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance. This position requires a deep understanding of Lean principles and methodologies, as well as the ability to mentor and guide teams in their Lean journey.
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Lean projects and initiatives across various departments
- Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement Lean training programs for employees at all levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
- Utilize data analysis and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiatives
- Mentor and coach team members in Lean principles and practices
- Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes to management
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Lean methodologies
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
- This position requires travel to Charleston, South Carolina
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools (e.g., 5S, VSM, Kaizen)
- 0-3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
- 0-3+ years of experience in roles requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 0-3+ years of experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to support root-cause identification and corrective actions
- Willing and able to work a variable shift (primarily 1st shift)
- Willing and able to travel domestically
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- 0-3 years of experience implementing Lean principles end-to-end
- 0-3 years of experience teaching Lean tools and concepts to others
- Lean Six Sigma certification
