  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive with substantial enterprise-level experience in the travel industry, specifically in hotel sales and revenue management with knowledge of channel management systems such as TravelClick, SynXis, Derbysoft and/or SiteMinder. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of partnerships with globally recognized hotel brands. Leveraging their extensive industry knowledge and contacts, the ideal candidate will drive growth and enhance our travel offerings.
  • This role will help us to provide our customers with a fresh set of inspirational deals, enhancing their travel discovery experience and strengthening our hotel partnerships. We are particularly excited that our company has recently returned to growth after several years of stagnation, and we are committed to boosting this momentum even further. By bringing in new talent, we aim to invigorate our offerings and ensure that our customers continue to receive innovative and exciting deals that inspire and delight them. 


 
Job Description

  • Role Summary: We are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive who will leverage their sales experience and expansive network in the Travel industry to expand the company’s portfolio of regional, national and international hotel groups that use Groupon as a distribution platform and customer acquisition lever.
  • Ideal Candidate: The ideal applicant should have an expansive network in the Travel industry and be commercially driven with proven past experience delivering against aggressive growth expectations, particularly the leisure hotels segment.
  • Role Objectives: This position is aimed at unlocking new, larger partnerships with hotel and travel brands through:
    • Proactive prospecting both existing contacts within the industry as well as new contacts
    • Successfully negotiating commercial terms that deliver on Groupon’s win-win-win value proposition, whereby the partner, the company and the consumer all reap tangible benefits
    • Acting as a primary escalation point for existing partners for questions and support of both live and closed campaigns
    • Providing post-campaign analysis aimed at strengthening the foundation of the relationship as well as the next consumer-facing campaign

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new partnerships with globally recognized hotel brands, focusing on long-term relationships and mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Strategic Sales: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. Utilize industry expertise to present compelling value propositions to potential partners.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the travel and hotel industry, including hotel executives, revenue managers, and decision-makers.
  • Revenue Management: Utilize deep knowledge of hotel revenue management principles to negotiate optimal deals and pricing structures that align with both Groupon's and partners' objectives.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings and sales approaches.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new partnerships and maximize their impact on our platform.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Track and report on sales performance, market conditions, and partnership success metrics. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of enterprise-level sales experience in the travel industry, with a strong focus on hotel sales and revenue management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the global hotel market, revenue management strategies, and travel industry trends.
  • Network: Established network of contacts within the hotel industry, including relationships with key decision-makers at major hotel brands.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in leveraging data to drive business decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
