Barr is seeking an enterprise systems manager to join our Minneapolis, Minnesota, team. In this hybrid role, you will lead the strategy, administration, optimization, and support of enterprise business systems across the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring core platforms are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs and partner closely with business leaders, IS teams, vendors, and external partners to improve system performance, drive process efficiency, and support business transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of people leadership, systems management, and project delivery that enables them to effectively oversee the daily operation of enterprise applications while also helping shape the long-term roadmap for systems, integrations, controls, and governance. They approach their work with strong communication and stakeholder management skills and enjoy collaborating across teams to drive effective outcomes. They are also analytical, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Your impact – key responsibilities
Enterprise systems management and optimization: manage the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Team leadership and development: lead and support a team of analysts, administrators, or application support staff responsible for enterprise platforms.
Business partnership and solution delivery: collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and implement scalable system solutions.
System lifecycle and governance: oversee system configuration, upgrades, patches, and testing while maintaining strong governance, documentation, and technical standards.
Data integrity, security, and compliance: partner with business owners and data owners to ensure appropriate access controls, data governance, audit readiness, and compliance across enterprise systems.
Integrations and performance: coordinate integrations across applications and monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues and driving resolution of incidents.
Vendor and project management: manage vendor relationships and lead project planning, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for system initiatives.
Hybrid: A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. This role is based out of Barr’s Minneapolis, Minnesota, office.
About you – required core competencies
Education: bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
Supporting or managing enterprise systems.
3+ years of experience leading teams.
Hands on work with ERP, HCM, CRM, finance, or other enterprise application ecosystems.
Strong understanding of system lifecycle management, integrations, security roles, and data governance.
Proven experience leading cross-functional projects, implementations, or system enhancements.
Software: experience with SQL Server.
Communication: strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members, regulators, and clients.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.
Helpful additional experience (not required)
Experience with platforms such as Workday, Deltek (ERP), or ServiceNow.
Familiarity with APIs, integrations, middleware, or reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
Experience working in regulated, multi-entity, or fast-growing environments.
Experience with ITIL, change control, or service delivery frameworks.
Anticipated range of $115,000–$133,000 annually. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
