US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.

The Opportunity

TECKpert is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support TECKpert’s client, a government agency in Tallahassee, Florida. This role is responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise data integration framework that modernizes and unifies large-scale data assets across financial, engineering, and operational domains. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise data architecture, cloud-based data platforms, data governance, and ETL orchestration in complex public-sector environments.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assess current-state enterprise data systems to identify data silos, schema inconsistencies, integration gaps, and governance issues
  2. Design and implement an enterprise data integration framework supporting scalable analytics and interoperability
  3. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple enterprise domains
  4. Define canonical data models, schemas, and integration standards
  5. Design and implement ETL and ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools
  6. Orchestrate data workflows using Azure Data Factory, Informatica, and Snowflake
  7. Design RESTful APIs and service endpoints to enable data exchange across systems
  8. Integrate spatial and GIS data with enterprise engineering and financial datasets
  9. Establish data governance, metadata standards, lineage tracking, and stewardship models
  10. Implement data quality monitoring processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
  11. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  12. Ensure alignment with cloud-first architecture and security standards
  13. Produce technical documentation including data dictionaries, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps
  14. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $195,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Analyst in enterprise environments
  • 10+ years working with large-scale database management systems
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise data models and ETL processes
  • Strong experience with Azure, Snowflake, Informatica, and PostgreSQL
  • Proven experience with cloud-based data integration and architecture
  • Expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques (relational and dimensional)
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
  • Experience integrating APIs and service-based data architectures
  • Familiarity with financial data systems and enterprise reporting platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • • Experience with DB2 systems
  • • Experience with state or public-sector financial systems
  • • Experience with GIS and spatial data integration
  • • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
