Purpose


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic team to support the growth of Enterprise product. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing customer contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting the enterprise function. This role does not require a legal qualification but does demand experience with reviewing contracts, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing and at times conflicting demands from stakeholders, whilst working collaboratively across various departments.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


Contract Review and Analysis:


● Review variation requests to Enterprise standard terms and conditions and recommend to the Enterprise Sales teams solutions and drafting to accommodate any changes which are accepted, advise the Enterprise Sales Team on responses and explanations to prospective Enterprise Customers.

● Identify and flag to the Envato legal team potential risks, inconsistencies, and non-compliance issues within contracts which can be addressed with training, changes to standard terms and Standard Operating Procedures.

● Ensure Enterprise Contracts adhere to company standard operating policies, regulations, and legal requirements (as advised by the Envato Legal Team).


Collaboration and Support:


● Work closely with the legal and enterprise teams, and other relevant departments to facilitate the contract review processes.

● Provide clear and concise summaries of contract terms and conditions and implications to stakeholders.

● Assist in negotiating enterprise contract terms with external parties as needed.


Documentation and Record-Keeping:


● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all enterprise contract documents.

● Ensure proper documentation and filing of contracts in the company’s contract management system.

● Track contract lifecycle milestones, key contract variations and provide timely updates to relevant parties.


Process Improvement:


● Contribute to the development and enhancement of Enterprise contract review processes and procedures.

● Suggest and implement improvements to streamline contract management workflows.

● Stay updated on best practices in contract management and legal compliance.


Training and Development:


● Design and delivery training to the Enterprise sales team on the terms and conditions for Enterprise contracts, the scope of variations which can be accommodated and how to respond to standard questions and requests from Enterprise customers

● Participate in training sessions to stay informed about changes in contract law and industry regulations.

● Be aware and accountable to your responsibilities in relation to workplace health and safety obligations.


Required Technical Skills/Experience


● 4-6 years of experience in contract review or a related role within an enterprise/B2B setting.

● Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract principles.

● Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

● Advanced English language proficiency, both written and verbal. 

● Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

● Understanding of contract life cycles, terms, and conditions.

● Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts.

● Awareness of industry-specific regulations (especially the Copyright Act 1986, the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Corporations Act 2001, Privacy Act 1988, knowledge of international privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA, the Digital Services Act)] and compliance requirements for agreements which are cross-border.

● Ability potential risks and indemnity issues with changes requested by Enterprise customers to standard form Enterprise terms and conditions.

● Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organised contract records.

● Capability to assess potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

● Ability to resolve contract-related issues efficiently and effectively.

● Strong writing skills for drafting clear and concise contract documents.

● Ability to manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines.

● Strong stakeholder management skills in communicating effectively with busy sales teams.

● Skill in prioritising tasks based on urgency and importance.
