Job Responsibilities:
Partnering with both business and technology groups, the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function plays an integral role in building a holistic view of the company's capabilities, process, data, application, security and technology strategy that aligns with, and helps realize the companies' overall vision and strategy.
The Enterprise Architecture function has the mandate to:
- Provide actionable EA deliverables in an agile and time-constrained manner. Align initiatives' scope with strategy, roadmap, other initiatives and the big picture (Scope Alignment).
- Contribute to the positioning of the EA practice as an internal management consultancy that provides services and skills to support strategy formulation and implementation by defining and maintaining enterprise architecture standards.
- Define & publish Magna's current and future state Enterprise Architecture regarding process, data, security and the technology to enable this.
- Publish Global IT's enterprise reference architecture. This includes guidelines and standards for designing and developing target state capabilities.
- Evaluate architectural alternatives, support the formulation of technology strategy in response to spotted disruptive external or internal forces and its operationalization.
- Maintain an appropriate level of industry specialist knowledge across Magna business areas , foster decentral innovation through our Continuous Innovation & Foresight services, guiding IT to embrace the right emerging technologies at the right point in time to support the business.
Major Responsibilities
- Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, infrastructure and identify IT-related risks.
- Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration.
- Implement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation.
- Develop technology strategy and planning deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration.
- Produce target-state solution architecture, perform assessments and gap analysis.
- Help with formulating general solution strategies and roadmaps.
- Proficiency in storytelling and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex technical concepts.
- Help establish one or more Centers of Excellence and Communities.
- Lead or consult to Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Knowledge and Education
- University Degree in Business Information Systems, Informatics, or Business Administration.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture or IT Architecture, working on Business, Application, or Information Architectures.
- Broad and strong understanding of business processes and their relationship to IT, with curiosity and willingness to constantly learn.
- Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional certifications in enterprise architecture, TOGAF/Zimmermann are a plus.
Work Experience
- 10 years of experience in IT, favorably in EA or cross-functional role(s).
Skills and Competencies
- Create Business capability maps: Map business capabilities based on EA best practices and discover applications related to each business capability.
- Generate IT landscape reports: Discover and manage all applications within the organization, dependencies, and data flows.
- Produce migration roadmap and project plans: Create roadmaps with all dependencies when moving from old systems to new ones.
- Current state vs. future state diagrams: Build diagrams that represent as-is architecture and target architecture.
- Make application criticality reports: Create reports to show the importance of applications within the IT landscape.
- Produce lifecycle roadmaps of IT landscapes: Assess applications by business criticality and functional & technical fit.
- Proficiency in storytelling and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex technical concepts.
- Expertise in data governance frameworks, guaranteeing data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in integrating generative AI solutions into enterprise systems to enhance business processes and decision-making.
Additional Information
Regular travel: Up to 25% of the time.
