As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to modernize our application portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Lead Modernization Strategy: Create and execute a roadmap for application modernization, including rearchitecting legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Architectural Design: Design scalable, secure, and resilient application architectures using modern technologies such as microservices, containers, and serverless computing.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and development teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend modern technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support the modernization efforts.
- Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and quality.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring that modernized applications meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of modernization initiatives.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an architectural role focusing on application modernization.
- Scope Progression: Progression from delivery role into Strategic Planning/Architecture role, Progression from delivery to CTO role, Experience in bootstrapping IT for a company/startup until it scales.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Frameworks and Methodologies: Strong knowledge of TOGAF, NIST CSF, and DevSecOps principles.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
