Job Title

Engineering Tech IUnder direct supervision, this role applies basic practical technical knowledge and problem solving skills to assist engineering staff. Aids with standard projects to further expand understanding of an operations environment to support production of technical ceramics.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• May create Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and/or routings, generating costing information for incoming or re-occurring orders through understanding of manufacturing processes.
• May assist in the design and ordering of production tooling.
• Works with engineers to improve production methods and quality of product; participating on teams while researching root cause analysis, scrap issues and other technical issues.
• Aids Trade Compliance and local personnel involved in export/import activity ensuring all Company and customer confidential information and/or intellectual property are handled per Corporate Trade Compliance guidelines.
• Active participant in continuous improvement activities through research, benchmarking and identification of improved methods or tools to increase efficiency. 
• Assists engineers or other technical personnel in the design of processes, products, formulations, or equipment by working on projects in a team setting as required.
• May gather, record, and maintain technical data including test procedures and results, drawings, numerical and graphical data and works with engineering to adjust designs to meet specifications.
• Performs computer aided drafting activities with supervision utilizing CAD software as required to convert basic customer drawings to CoorsTek drawings for new and existing product revisions; performs engineering calculations required to properly configure drawings including pre and post fired dimensions.
• Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Shift:

• Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 3:30pm MST

Education:

• Requires an Associate Degree in Engineering or in related discipline or a High School diploma/GED and equivalent work experience

Experience:

• •1-2 years experience in related field.

• Mathematical Reasoning - Performs math equations, uses decimals, fractions, and conversion ratios for adjustments, calculates values for complex parts, accurately converts between units of measure, and understands and interprets simple statistics.
• Project Management - Supports project execution by following plans, managing tasks, tracking progress, ensuring quality deliverables, securing resources, and proactively communicating risks and challenges.
• Technology Use - Independently operates common technology platforms, submits technology requests to the Service Center, and uses job aids and help documentation to resolve issues.
• Time Management - Accurately tracks time use, prioritizes work according to deadlines and goals, and identifies unimportant tasks.

Target Hiring Range

Hourly: USD 22.84 - USD 27.62
