As an Engineering Specialist - - Applications and Software for Baker Hughes, you will be responsible for building and enhancing modern web applications, with a primary focus on frontend development and the ability to contribute to backend integrations as needed. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role working closely with product, QA, and platform teams
As an Engineering Specialist - - Applications and Software, you will also be responsible for:
- Strong hands‑on experience with Angular and JavaScript
- Working knowledge of Java for backend services, APIs, and full‑stack support
- Solid understanding of design patterns, frontend architecture, and clean code
- Ability to build performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- Experience adhering to architecture standards and technical guidelines
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud‑native concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and SAST/DAST scans
- Strong communication and collaboration within cross‑functional teams
- Nice‑to‑have: Python knowledge and experience supporting automation or data use cases

To be successful in this role you will:
Have strong hands‑on experience with Angular and JavaScript
Have 6+ years of hands‑on software development experience
Have working knowledge of Java for backend services, APIs, and full‑stack support
Have solid understanding of design patterns, frontend architecture, and clean code
Have ability to build performant, scalable, and maintainable solutions
Have experience adhering to architecture standards and technical guidelines
Have familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud‑native concepts
Have experience with CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and SAST/DAST scans
Have strong communication and collaboration within cross‑functional teams
Nice‑to‑have: Python knowledge and experience supporting automation or data use cases
