Job Description
The Engineering Portfolio Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day management of various programs, initiatives and/or projects within the portfolio, including all aspects related to managing project lifecycles, roadmaps, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Develop and maintain project roadmaps along with business or Product team members that align with goals and needs
    • Define and have a clear, high-level understanding of the project/program goals and be able to track the status of each including progress, milestones achieved, risks, and issues in various methods
    • Help the team anticipate and prevent issues with adequate risk management
    • Develop overall estimates of the resource requirements and anticipated schedules, following financial budgets closely
    • Define the goals of the program and key KPIs/OKRs to measure and monitor them appropriately
    • Produce key project management deliverables such as project plans, resource plans, risk mitigation plans, change management plans, etc.
    • Have knowledge and experience in implementing various methodologies based on project/team needs
    • Collaborate with Scrum Teams, as needed, for project delivery and managing of roadmaps
    • Coordinate activities related to the project lifecycle with teams both within and outside of Corporate Technology
    • Have a proactive approach to continuous learning around various project management methodologies and frameworks
  • Stakeholder and Team Management
    • Engage with project teams and the business to understand project and resource needs
    • Lead and facilitate various project meetings, from kickoff to closure, anticipating the business needs
    • Proactively provide comprehensive visibility into project status from an initiative and program level
    • Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables stakeholders to have visibility and sufficient information to make required decisions
    • Contribute towards a highly functioning team by effectively managing projects and leveraging the expertise of the team resources
    • Participate in various team meetings and reviews as necessary to set expectations and provide issue and resolution management
  • Collaboration
    • Provides direction to the team and key stakeholders for the entire project lifecycle
    • Solicits clear feedback from stakeholders, where needed
    • Seeks consensus between stakeholders and technical teams in delivering goals
    • Takes initiative to learn new skills and actively participates in team discussions


Qualifications
Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Agile Project Management certifications - CSM, PSM, etc.
  • 5+ years of project management experience - waterfall and agile
  • Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and leading teams in the implementation of the solution
  • Knowledge and experience of full SDLC using various project management methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
  • Ability to translate strategic roadmaps into an actionable project plan
  • Skilled problem solver with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments and work styles while building strong relationships
  • Growth mindset for continuous learning and improvement
  • Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents


Desired Characteristics:

  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) Certification and/or other Agile Certification

  • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee's residence.

Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
