Wabi is the first personal software platform. People describe what they want, and Wabi turns it into a real mini-app they can use, share, and remix — no code, no app store, no setup. We handle the hard parts (UI, databases, model choice) so creating an app feels as natural as posting a video. We're a small, high-agency team in San Francisco, backed by a16z and many of the people building the future of consumer AI.
We don't have one specific engineering role posted right now, but we're always looking for exceptional engineers who want real ownership early. We care about people more than narrow titles: full-stack and product engineers, iOS and Android, and folks who like working at the intersection of LLMs and consumer product. The work spans turning prompts into working software, making the platform fast and reliable, and shaping how millions of small apps get created and run.
If the vision resonates, send us a note with what you'd want to work on and a link to something you've built — a repo, a product, a side project, anything you're proud of.
Skills Required
- Exceptional software engineering ability and willingness to take early ownership
- Experience building with large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering
- Experience building production-quality mobile apps (iOS or Android)
- Full-stack development experience (frontend and backend)
- Experience designing UIs and working with databases
- Experience building fast, reliable, and scalable platform infrastructure
- Portfolio link or repo/product/side project demonstrating work
What We Do
Wabi is an AI-native personal software platform that allows users to create, discover, remix, and share mobile mini-apps using natural-language prompts without writing code. Founded by Eugenia Kuyda, the company aims to democratize software creation, transforming it into a mode of creative expression where personalized, AI-powered tools can be easily built and distributed within a social community.
