TechniBlend is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and oversee a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering custom food and beverage processing equipment integrated with full-scale automation and control systems. This role ensures technical excellence in design meeting customer specifications, regulatory, industry, and company standards, and performance expectations while driving innovation and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

Leadership & Team Management

 Direct and oversee all process, electrical, and automation engineering activities.

  • Set priorities and clear expectations, allocate resources, and ensure project milestones are achieved with efficient utilization.
  • Define scopes, budgets, and timelines; manage resources and expenses to ensure successful project execution and on-time efficient delivery.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering technical growth and leadership skills.
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 Engineering Oversight & Execution

  • Approve and guide development of all engineering documentation and deliverables.
  • Ensure robust design standards, mechanical layouts, and control and automation architectures.
  • Validate sizing and specification of critical process equipment.
  • Oversee full life cycle of project design.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers and Engineering Leads to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or issues that may impact project timelines or quality.

 Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Drive continuous and process improvement initiatives for labor and cost reductions.
  • Maintain and improve efficiency in equipment design to keep down machine margins.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.
  • Champion risk assessments and process capability studies.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to analyze outcomes, identify lessons learned, and apply insights to future projects and initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all designs meet company and customer standards and bets practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, sanitation procedures, technical manuals, and training materials.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other food safety regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with electrical and mechanical standards (NFPA, UL, ASME).

 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, QA, Maintenance, Service, and other Engineering teams both internally and externally.
  • Provide technical leadership during customer interactions and commissioning.
  • Support sales and service teams with engineering expertise.
  • Work closely with operations, quality, and procurement teams to drive project success and timelines.

Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)

Experience:

  • 8+ years in engineering roles within food & beverage or related industries.
  • 5+ years in a leadership or management position.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical process, fluid mechanics, and sanitary design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety, and sanitary standards.
  • Understanding of PLC-based automation and control systems.

 Soft Skills:

  • Excellent Leadership abilities including ability to lead cross functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Other:

  • Ability to travel up to 15% (Primarily North America with some International)
