What would you do:

As an Engineering Manager at Devtech, you will report to Head of AI Software Development and lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring successful project delivery and growth across our digital services offerings. You will be responsible for driving execution of company and departmental strategy, managing delivery and P&L for assigned accounts, developing technical excellence, and fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.

  • Execute engineering strategy, OKRs and tactics in collaboration with your manager, ensuring alignment with Devtech’s and Global Services strategy and business objectives.
  • Hire, onboard and continuously manage performance of engineers. Provide guidance, coaching, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring they have the support, resources, and training required to excel in their roles.
  • Set engineering standards, determine team's levels of expertise, and set career paths for your team members.
  • Manage capacity and staffing proactively within your assigned accounts, ensuring optimal bench utilization and rotations.
  • Manage project margins and contribute to GS P&L on the accounts and teams you oversee.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the engineering teams, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business objectives. Implement better practices and end-to-end standards to ensure the highest level of quality of the service provided (engineering).
  • Proactively participate in and co-facilitate key leadership meetings and initiatives, such as company and departmental all-hands, office hours, team sessions, all leaders meetings and others.
  • Establish and grow a Community of Practice to promote collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning and improvement across teams. Actively build and maintain technical knowledge and expertise within the team.
  • Develop and manage systems for capturing and sharing engineering best practices, lessons learned, technical documentation, and processes across your function. Drive creation and rollout of process documents, templates, and other materials.
  • Drive the implementation of clients' technical vision by defining strategies, assigning resources, and overseeing engineering execution to deliver complex digital solutions.
  • Ensure projects align with clients’ business needs, engineering standards, and best practices, while promoting technical excellence and innovation, mitigating risks, and delivering on time, within scope, and budget. Coach and guide the team to resolve client issues, ensuring no client churn due to avoidable factors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and client satisfaction. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information.
  • Contribute to signing new deals and growing existing accounts, by providing technical expertise in presales and upselling cycles as needed (proposal creation, RFPs, solution demonstrations etc.), in collaboration with Sales, Account Management and other cross-functional teams.
  • Support Devtech’s go-to-market strategy both internally and externally, by participating in events, and creating publications and presentations.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven 3+ years' experience leading technical teams within a digital services, consulting, or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development, product management, engineering practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with experience in driving team performance and managing career growth of engineers.
  • Experience in presales, managing project margins, and collaborating with sales and account teams.
  • Experience managing P&L, understanding project financials, and driving account growth through collaboration with sales teams.
  • Experience participating in leadership meetings and driving strategy execution.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, present to leadership teams and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and stakeholders.
